So in one of my depressing adventures on the internet, I came across this:this (http://milkthepigeon.com/2012/03/06/what-to-do-when-your-life-feels-meaningless/)

And It got me thinking. What is your purpose? Do you have one? What do you feel about the idea in the article?

I don't feel like I have a purpose. I don't think I'll ever have one.

I did skim through the last part but i did get the gist of the article.
It sounds great on paper, but realistically speaking, finding yourself isn't as easy a task as the article makes it out to be.

I honestly don't really know what my meaning is yet. It's definitely not to be super popular or famous, cause so far I've failed that category miserably. I'm not really well cultured and I don't really have any character. I (in my opinion) am just a rather dull teenager with some typical interests and makes for dull conversations. I still have no idea what I want to do after high school but that's something I'll figure out in time, I guess.

I don't think we have purpose, and I don't think we need one. I believe the universe is about a random a place as you will find, for obvious reasons, so how can there be a purpose for every individual life form? How can each of us have one? I don't think we do.

Everybody has a purpose in this life. I don't believe this on a spiritual level (well, I do as well, but, I believe it on a practical basis).

Personally, my purpose in life is to improve the world in any way I can. I don't have to change the whole world necesarily. But only improve it.

http://www.snopes.com/glurge/kyle.asp This is a fictionish story. The real story isn't quite as tear-jerking, but, the basic moral of the story is true. You will never know what you have done, or will do, but you will change someone's life probably without realising it. In that story, one simple act of kindness literally saved someone's life. It seems a little far fetched, but anything is possible Remember, kindness is free, but it is also priceless. I shall give you three examples of this.

I feel that article is a little cynical in some parts. But more than that, while I suppose it could be correct in saying to be happy, you need to have a purpose. But it doesn't have to be big. It does not have to be the next President of the United States (if it is, you know, nothing wrong with that). We all go through periods of having no purpose, but, in some small way, we all have a purpose I think.

My purpose is to experience as much physical and emotional pleasure as I possibly can before I croak. And even if it's not my purpose, it's what I'm going to do. Perhaps, there is no end all be all purpose to life (besides to pass on your genes to the next generation) and life is simply us wandering around doing what WE want to do.

i feel like my purpose in life is to help others. to make their last moments in life comfortable. to be that strong person standing gaurd over them when someone just tried to hurt them. i wanna be that person that when they feel scared they will think of me being ready at a moments notice to come help them and they feel safe again.

My purpose is whatever I decide to make it at that current time in my life.

I make my own purpose so it varies on how I happen to be feeling lel
For me the purspose is to expand, expand in knowledge and experience.
I don't like the idea of "now" "future" and "purpose", because it makes such a straight line of your life, while experience of life isn't a straight line at all.

Well I am only 13 so my views on life will most likely change by the time they make any kind of difference to anything. But I want to go into either ecology or wildlife photography, I feel my purpose in life is to help give a voice to those that can not speak for themselves. But not having a purpose is not a bad thing, many people I know have no idea what they want in life, hell even my parents are not doing now what they wanted to do when they were younger. Life changes, and often times from day to day. What and who we are today may not be the same tomorrow. Some people hate looking into the future and planning ahead, others like me, enjoy having a plan, something to work up to, a goal to head for. Either way, having a purpose or not having one makes no difference, just live your life and if you are happy, what does it matter :)
