How do I know if a friend request was denied?

I know this isn't really and introduction, but I couldn't find another place to ask this. So when I send a FR to someone and they deny it, do I get a notice or does just nothing happen?

That is correct. If you deny a request, the person does not know, and if they deny it, you don't know. You could always find out by looking at yours/their friend list and see if you're on it, but other than that.. that's it. There's no notification or anything.

IIRC there is a way. Once you send a friend request, on their profile it will say something like "pending". Once they accept, obviously it will show as accepted. But if they reject, it will simply change back to as if you hadn't requested it yet.
This does require you check their profile every so often, as AFAIK it doesn't show anywhere else.
