When do relationships become exclusive?

All relationships are different, there's not a specific time frame to be exclusive.

For me it's when you've reached the point that you refer to each other as boyfriend/girlfriend as the case may be. If you've asked or been asked to be someone's boyfriend/girlfriend you have then entered a committed relationship. If you have just gone out for dinner, bowling, movies, etc, then I don't think that is exclusive and as long as both parties know where the other is with their thinking of where the 'relationship' is at, then I think it's all good. Hope that makes some sense?
