So me and my friends were juz talking and we came across this topic whereby some of us wouldn't really want our gf wearing skimpy clothes as it may attract stares from other guys. I personally don't mind but girls would you stop wearing them if ur bf didn't want u to?

Personally I don't find slutty attractive in public.
Now if she wants to wear that around the house :P No problemo (;.
I think particularly once you are in a relationship, it's like keeping a metaphorical 'Available' sign around your neck, like you are seeking attention from other potential mates.
In terms of asking her not to, you tend to end up getting that horrid BS "You're trying to control me and what I wear" so it's a difficult one.
I'd say seek to compromise, for example my sister is the most beautiful, sexiest girl I've ever seen. She likes to show off her figure, but always keeping it classy. Simple things like wearing running lycra shorts under short skirts/dresses for example.
There's a fine but very defined balance between showing off your gorgeous girlfriend, and revealing too much.
There are certain parts covered by bikinis that I want to keep ALL TO MYSELF. That makes it soooooooooo infinitely more special when you share that intimacy only with the One. And not just some perverts on a beach.

I don't think I dress too provocatively most of the time but I certainly wouldn't be too happy if a boyfriend started telling what I could and couldn't wear. Though I think if I had a boyfriend I wouldn't wear anything too 'slutty' in public.

If I had a partner - boy or girl - that wanted to start dictating what I should and shouldn't be wearing, I'd dump their ass. That's not okay.

I completely agree. I understand that some girls might want to get that attention for self confidence, but attention from their lover should be the only thing thats important. I usually keep my sexy clothing for my boyfriend and theres nothing that makes me feel more beautiful than when i see my boyfriend drooling over me when im wearing them. When i do wear revealing clothing in public i make sure that everybody knows im taken.

I tend to not wear skimpy clothes. However, I will never change myself for a males approval. How I choose to dress should be for me, not for him.

We'll if someone told me to stop wearing them I would not listen to them it your own taste in clothes. But I can see some boys being protective of there girlfriends .
