well i bought a hp pavillion dv6488 special edition (white) and i got it in october. it is really slow well it can be at times and i wanna make it faster. and when i play monoply here and now it will sometimes freeze and when i play my pre loaded games live family fued or wheel of fortune it will also freeze. i noticed also when i recover it it will work perfectly. but i dont wanna install all my programs again cause that will take all night.

im thinking about saving up my checks for about 4 months and buy a new dell or something.
if you are woundering what my specs are here they are:
15.1 glossy widescreen display
2048 mb
200 gb hard drive
optical drives
1.50 centrino duo processor
windows vista home premium

Make sure you defrag regularly, it does make a big difference. Download a program called "Ccleaner", that will delete old files and clear the registery.

Other than that, there's not a lot you can do. The processor seems pretty crap, but the rest seems ok.

Yes XP runs way faster than Vista. Vista is just shit when it comes to speed and ZP is much faster.

So get the upgrade. If I can find any free downloads for you on the internet I'll PM you the link for them.

Another thing I forgot to mention, type "msconfig" (without quotes) in the search box on the start menu, then hit enter. Accept the UAC box, click on Startup tap, then disable everything but your antivirus, windows defender, windows sidebar (if you use/need it). Then reboot.

use Windows XP no Vista and if u want more velocity buy more memory
