I have a serious problem with talking to teachers. Every time I try it gets awkward and I don't know how to resolve this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
EDIT: I am going into the 9th grade(freshmen year). So any general advice on that I would appreciate too.

I think maybe you just have to awkward your way through it, like practice makes perfect. I mean that's basically what it comes down to with my speech therapy.
I basically can't talk at all when it comes to teachers, so I have to write whatever out for them to read :whoops:

I can only say really to (like that) try to just deal with the awkward feelings :D sometimes you might get somewhere... not that in school I ever did and so one time I wrote in my geography book "I don't understand this question" instead of asking about it and the teacher then wrote in there that "It's her job to help me", yadda yadda, and that I shouldn't be scared.
Practise makes perfect; you could try to speak to the teachers more as at first you will be scared and unsure of what to do but then as you keep doing it you will actually know what you're doing and be good at it - or be like me and still cower away after trying it once and hating it like I seem to have done with everything. It's very awkward, I know the feeling, especially for the boob that I am. :whoops:

I used to find it awkward when I was in school, however when I got to college I realised they where just normal people,

This is pretty much the best advice I could give. Its important to remember that while they are providing you with your education, they are human too, and they're not out to get you.. they want you to succeed.
The only question they'll find dumb is one you don't ask. You're better off asking than not asking and it being wrong because you didn't. It'll get less awkward over time.. but just remember that they're not out to get you. They don't bite.
Good luck in high school.. Enjoy your freshmen year before life gets hectic and college and everything.
