I was dissapointed with The Hobbit, so havent seen the second and dont really plan on seeing the third, however I will say that visually they are stunning, however I dislike the plot.

Although they are not as good as LOTR I still love the Hobbit and the book as well. I love PJ's take on it, I love the Dol Guldur story and the addition of Azog. At first I thought Azog was bad, but I grew to like him a lot. I don't like the excessive use of CGI, but I still love it. Smaug is awesome, and the Battle of Five Armies will be awesome. I don't care what people say about the movies, I love them just as much as LOTR

I liked them both, but I feel like lord of the rings was much better because of the excessive use of cgi . The orcs and creatures in LOTR had awesome make up and looked really well done, but the hobbits just full of cgi monsters and villains and that kinda bothers me. Other wise it's pretty good

I'm a big LOTR fan. I was kinda disappointed with The Hobbit so I didn't go see the second one and doubt I'll go see the third one.

This is how I feel. I loved the book, but it should have been made into ONE movie, not THREE.

The book is only like 300 pages. It's weird how it could be made into three movies.
I actually disliked the movies. I didn't like Tauriel (they didn't need a female character) and I hated the stupid love triangle with her and Legolas and Kili. But at least Smaug isn't a wolf dragon like in the animated version. (Though he's played by that pompous windbag Benedict Cumberbatch.) And the dwarves were okay. I can't stand elves (pretty boys) - I prefer dwarves.

The Hobbit is one of my favorite books and one of the first books I ever read on my own. It's difficult to deal with the huge changes that were made in the story. Have seen each once. The second one on a RedBox dvd. Will probably do the same with the 3rd. They don't totally suck, but not really interested in seeing more than once. It was supposed to be 2 movies called An Unexpected Journey and There And Back Again. Now it's 3 movies and I get the feeling it might be 4 movies, because this one isn't called There And Back Again.

I love the Hobbit movies. It's exactly how I envisioned it to look.
I'm super pumped to see part 3.

They did do an excellent job with it visually, that's for sure.

Just regarding the movies (I haven't read the book) The first Hobbit was kinda ok,

I never could get into the Hobbit franchise and I don't think it has enough good content to churn out *three* movies that are all *three* hours long. it's just not that interesting of a story - two gay hobbits go on gay adventures with a surly Martian. I'll pass lol

The hobbit movies suck. They all just suck. The original LOTR movies are infinitely better.
