Which do you use for medications? Do you think there is a difference?

Almost all of our over-the-counter drugs are the generic brand :P

Most of the time I get generic. By law it has to have the same active ingredients as the regular brand so i might as well save some cash

The only type of medication I ever use is Advil and I like that brand name.

I think I use generic ibuprofen. I don't pay much attention to the label; I'm not the one who buys it. I don't care whether or not its namebrand, it works well.

My family is generic junkies. So I always use those. I really don't think it makes a difference.

I've only ever used brand name, so I can't really say if there's a difference between the two.

Yea I 95% of the time use brand names, the only time I use generic medication is for a pain-reliever.

buying brand name medications is a huge waste of money. generic meds are literally 100% the same as name brand drugs chemically (because the FDA says so) so you're paying more money just for fancy packaging and flashy ad campaigns. ibuprofen is ibuprofen.

There is indeed a difference, but a measly one at that... laboratories use different excipients and concentrations in their products, so a generic drug will be different from a branded one in concentration, and presentation as in you could find pills of a generic drug but you could find syrup or capsules from a certain brand of the same drug.
