What were/are your reasons behind it?

I'd never cheat, no matter what the circumstances. I find it to be a major breakage of trust, and purely hurtful to the other.

I only reciprocate what my partners do to me, so as long as they're faithful, I'm faithful. If they cheat, then I feel that it's okay for me to cheat as well.

But I guess I'm a bit too nice to do that, cause my ex basically tried to throw me out the window for someone online (and backfired), and I just forgave him.
