I like the way it makes me feel and it makes me more confident around people. Does anyone else like it or dislike it?

Substance abuse has been a huge part of my life since I was about thirteen years old. It's not something to take lightly.

Honestly, it's alright to get drunk and have fun sometimes, but try to keep it in moderation. If you get drunk day after day, you will become both physically and mentally dependant on alcohol.
It's no joke, I know from experience.
So yeah, it's okay to drink and have a good time every once in a while, but just don't overdo it. Getting drunk time after time actually gets boring after a while.
But to answer the question, I do like getting drunk ( not necessarily sloppy or blackout drunk though ), but I try to limit how often I do it. I've gone through mild alcohol withdrawal before, and it sucked. In the end, alcohol never permanently solves your problems. Please keep that in mind.

I really like getting drunk, but I've noticed that I tend to binge drink, so I've cut down on my alcohol consumption.

I think I'm addicted. At least mentally because I don't suffer physically. I learned to enjoy drinking, the point is not to get so drunk that you have to go to a hospital.

I don't like what alcohol does to people. My mom was an alcoholic, so I've seen how it makes her, and I know not everyone becomes a crazy bitch, but yeah, still don't like it. I've only drank once, but I didn't get drunk.

It changes all the time for me, one day or week I'll enjoy going out and getting drunk. The next all I want to do is sit down, have a glass of Pepsi or whatever and watch everyone else around me get drunk. I think you learn a lot from being sober while everyone else is drunk, it allows you to sometimes see what yourself is like drunk. I mean, sure I like the feeling of being drunk, I like how nothing else in the world is important but it's a fake happy and that's why I've sort of gone off it. Plus, smelling like stale alcohol and an ashtray in the morning isn't personally what I find attractive.

I like getting drunk to a certain point. I don't need it to relax or have fun but it is nice and calming now and then. Just don't overdo it.

I look at drinking as borrowing happiness from tomorrow. It's a temporary release, and although you may seem more confident and happy while drunk, the next day you'll feel like crap and most likely be even worse off than you were before.
I'd suggest, rather than drinking so much, that you work on your confidence in other ways. Lack of confidence is a habitual trait that compounds as you get less and less confident. The more shy you get, the more you avoid social situations, which makes the situation worse and worse. Drinking isn't the way to fix this. The way to fix this is to continually extend yourself from your comfort zone and begin to develop confidence this way.
I know it's not easy, but if I could do it then you can. Three years ago I couldn't talk to girls without getting red-faced and stuttering. Now I have girls begging to talk to me. It's all about getting yourself out there and coming out of your shell with practice.

I love getting drunk but I don't do it for no reason. I'm not the type of person to drink just because it's the weekend. If I'm at a party I'll drink but other than that, I won't really.

I used to be able to get drunk and super high days in a row. Drunk off anything, high off anything. And now that my body is so damaged from that plus my eating disorder, I just can't drink anymore unless I want to, I don't know, drop dead.

I think it's a fact that in my adult life I'll never get drunk.

All things in moderation. Substance abuse is huge in my life, not necessarily for me or my family personally, but a bunch of close friends and people I know.. But it is fun to go out and drink once and a while.
The issue becomes when you enjoy the feelings so much that you become dependent on it everyday, or to the point where you can't go without. I do enjoy the feeling I get when I'm drunk, but it's not one that I need every day, or even every week. Once in a while though.. yeah.
Keep safe.

I think most people enjoy getting drunk, or they wouldn't do it. Teenagers love going to parties and getting drunk and having fun despite the negative consequences it can have on their health

Absolutely agree.
I do like getting drunk, but I don't like who I am when drunk, nor do I like what I do...
I also tend to be very emotional to one extreme or another. Angry, depressed, manic. I can be violent, I'm suspicious of everyone, I'm hypersexual, and I have the tendency to wander off around town. Honestly, I'd rather stay sober most times. (I say most times, because it's very hard for me to fight the urge to GET drunk. I'm an alcoholic.)

I like getting drunk, its pretty fun actually.
I don't think the op meant it in a are you an alcoholic way, he's just expressing that he likes to get drunk, that's doesn't make him an alcoholic

Well I admit I do that too sometimes hehe.))
But I think Im old enough to know how to control myself and know the consequences and I know precisely how much I drink and what kinds of alcohol will make me drunk slower or faster.
So use it sparingly ;) Once in a while is ok!

I love having a beer now and then. Drunk is fun sometimes as long as you're being safe. (surroundings, environment, people. e.c.t.)
