View Full Version : Body Hair (and Teenage Awkwardness)

I'm really self conscious about people seeing my small-ish amount of armpit hair when I go on holiday, so much to the point that I never wear vest tops. Also, don't really like wearing shorts because of leg hair (not as bad but still).
Awkward, but anyone else have toe hair? :whoops:

Another weird thing is that I am really self conscious of my eyebrows, I'm scared that they are too bushy or aren't centred. And... I'm male... I kinda wanna go and get my eyebrows done so they look really good. I know this sounds very strange but I always think about it. I shave my unnoticeable 'monobrow' often as well.

I guess, what I'm saying is, anybody else feel like this? Any tips or advice?

Toe hair? Um, I guess I have a small bit lol
Armpit hair will grow more eventually, in volume as you get older, trust me lol
I don't like going shirtless all the time because of my happy trail and my chest hair but it doesn't bother me as much as it used to.
Leg hair doesn't bother me. Sometimes when I'm wearing long pants, I'll pull the leg parts down to cover it because it just bothers me, but other than that... not a big problem for me.
Eyebrows... Yeah, get em fixed. I know I need to do it myself, but trust me, it'll make you look cleaner and more groomed and it'll make you look better. If I didn't fix my eyebrows, I'd look like a crazy bitch on crack, but I fix that shit lol

meh i was real self conscious about chest hair when it first started coming in cuz i was the first guy my age to get it. same with leg hair. if people make comments its probably cuz they are jealous, it dont bother me anymore though. and yeah i got a little toe hair nothing exciting though lol.

I was a lot hairier than other boys my age and I tried to get rid of chest hair but it wouldn't go away but I used hair removal cream on my legs because they irritated me so much, now my hair has grown back and it's a good length but I don't want it to get longer

I am that way too, but not about my eyebrows. Big bushy eyebrows are very attractive. Yeah stick to plucking the uni-brow I do mine too, those don't look to good. Don't get your eyebrows done!

Yes I have toe hair as well. If you do not like your eyebrows you can get them waxed. I do it and it is an easy way to get rid of the bushy feeling.

I have the exact same problem! I have chest hair too and really hairy legs and feet too. I can't go swimming with my family any more and I just don't swim with friends either because of it too.

But regarding your eyebrows, I know loads of guys who get them done! I just shave inbetween mine if it starts to grown but getting them done is fine, have you not heard of how big "Manscaping" has become?!

I don't wear tank tops just because I don't like being that exposed and I hate those tan lines. I used to be really embarrassed of my armpit hair but now it's not that big of a deal. Personally, being awkward about it and trying to hide it is even more awkward.

regarding getting your eyebrows done, i recommend that you go for it.
i've spoken with countless female friends of mine about their opinions on guys and their eyebrows.

i would say that 95% of them think it's far more attractive for a guy to have groomed defined eyebrows instead of untamed nasty forests of eyebrow hair growing unevenly and messily above the eyes.

neat clean eyebrows can accentuate ur facial features and make u look sharp.

I wish having bushy eyebrows was a problem for me. My eyebrows are too thin! It sucks :P

OMG YESSS I HATE hair. I have little toe hair but not enough where you can really notice it. I had my eyebrows waxed ( hurt like a sun of a gun but it worked ) and I don't have chest hair or anything like that, its more of the trail I have and the armpit hair I have and just ughhhghghghg ( shudder ) ....

I remember feeling this way when my hair began coming in. You just have to remind yourself that everyone else has hair, too, and it's nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed of.

Yeah, I have a lot of leg hair so much a girl pointed it out. But I learned that why should I care about what people don't like as long as I am who I am I am good.

Everyone teen guy gets hair on their legs, armpits and somtimes feet. I some hair on my toes. I really don't think people will make fun of you because of your hair since they are all going through the exact same thing

Yeah I'm really self conscious of my armpit hair so I usually wear a surfing shirt when I am in the water. I can't really seem to get over it.

We all have hair. If we don't like hair in certain places we can shave it off. We all started out with small amounts at first. B patient. Concentrate more on the entertain of ur holiday then wat the ppl around r seeing and thinking.

I was the same until I realized that it happens to everyone and I now don't care what people think as long as I am happy so I wear what I want...

I don't teat have that problem. I would prefer to be hairy in most places and comfortable with it. I would say it's okay to not be comfortable. Just know it's your own skin and don't give what others say. Shave everything of u want to.

Depends from man to man because of genetics . Me , for example , I have a lotttttttt of body hair , although I am 15 and I have more body hair than my father , so , basiclly whole my body is in dark brown body hair , and I kinda like it ... Only parts that I shave are facial hair , armpit hair and pubes .. So , there is no reson to hide your body , as you said , you dont wear vest tops because you dont have armpit hair ... That is your body and should be proud on it , whatever it looks , because God gave you that look .
