A little help?

I've been wanting to go to a pool a few times this summer, but I'm really afraid of going shirtless in front of others. I just feel naked if I don't have a shirt on in front of someone, which is funny since I'm fine being completely nude in front of anyone lol. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of any way to make it so I'm not so afraid of being just shirtless in front of people anymore. My mom's even starting to make jokes about it. :<

Lol I can't help you I wear a swim shirt when I go swimming, which is pretty embarrassing for me because everyone knows that I'm wearing it to hide what's underneath, but I think it'd be even more embarrassing without it. It used to be my fat that I was embarrassed of showing, now it's mainly my hair because I don't want my family to see. One would think I'd be embarrassed to go shirtless because of my pectus carinatum, but I'm not at all. Anyway dunno what your gonna do, I'm mainly only embarrassed of my family seeing me shirtless, but thinking about it I wouldn't like a lot of people to see my phat stomach. Um... Yeah idk what ur gonna do. Oh I know, if you have a muscular chest you might not be as embarrassed to show it?

theres no real tips you just gotta kind of do it. thats what i did anyway i mean its not like your gonna know most of the people that see you so what does it matter if they think anything

I had that feeling being kinda naked shirtless, I wrap a towel over my shoulders and I feel better hope this helps dude

I used to do that when I was like, 7 or 8 because I didn't like the feeling of being... exposed, I guess. I was a really small kid, so it wasn't because I was embarrassed of anything, but I would do it to feel comfortable. I just started going shirtless in hot tubs and smaller pools and then I just did it in a big pool with a lot of people and nobody gave a fuck. That's one thing to remember when you go to a pool and I'm not trying to be mean or anything but guess what: Nobody gives a shit what anyone looks like. Unless you're looking to meet a girl/guy (whatever you're into) nobody will care. It's just true, they couldn't care any less, tbqh.

Its strange how you dont mind being nude around people, but if its only your shirt off then you feel awkward. Anyway, I used to be super self conscious since I'm pretty skinny and most of my friends are muscular. I don't mind much anymore being shirtless around them or people i don't know. I always felt that people would look at me since most teens are muscular and I;m not, but I got over it after a while, I still feel slightly self conscious, but not nearly as much as I used to. Whenever I would be at a pool or beach with my friends, I would never get in or take my shirt off, now I'm pretty fine doing it

At the local pool I see lots of boys wearing shirts, mostly younger teens and preteens, but
nothing unusual about it. I don't know why they wear shirts, but that's their thing.

I've also seen one or two boys without shirts who had pretty serious cases of gynecomastia.

I'm scared of being shirtless because I'm a little fat. I know when I see a big person at a pool i secretly judge them a little... I just wear a shirt, or a sleeveless shirt.

Just go for it. You would realise no one will laugh at you and that could help you build confidence. You won't be scared if you get used to it.

Thats kind of ironic xD, but You should just face your fear and you will realise that it wasn't even a big deal after all. Or wear one of those surfing shirt things.
