What do you mean almost dated... Did you ask her out, tell her you liked her. You might have scared her away. But if you see her face to face and talk, does she hear you and still ignore you, then that's a problem. If she sometimes ignores you and sometimes listens, possibly she can't hear you talking.

So, we can have like a conversation, and she talks to me if we have to, but she avoids me and doesn't answer my texts. We never outright said it but there was sort of an understanding that we both liked eachother as more than just friends. Then one day, she just started ignoring me for no reason.

Maybe she is seeing someone else or she doesn't like you in that way so therefore is being friendly by talking to you and ignoring you to not give you false hope.
