Is it ok for me to be friends with someone who's almost 16?
I'm fourteen, going to turn fifteen in February, and she's fifteen, going to turn sixteen this september.
I have a romantic attraction to her, and (I think?) she does with me.
Are we peers? Does she look down on me?

Go for it. It's not like she's a adult

I don't see much of a problem here... it's only a one year age difference. Although, you should keep in mind that you are a year younger and therefore this girl will probably be more experienced than you. You need to remember that you can not give into peer pressure and do anything you may regret later on...

I agree. I see no problem.

The age thing is really not a massive deal in the slightest, she probably doesn't look down on you either. I think you're over thinking the situation a little, just go for whatever it is you want to do. If you both have a somewhat form of attraction with each other, talk and communicate and see where it goes from there.

I am 17 male, and have been dating a 21 male since beginning of summer, but have known each other since he has a senior in HS and I was a freshman. He does not look down on me, we are peers. If the two of you are interested in each other, go for it. The age difference should not be a problem at all. Good luck and have fun.
