Whats the easiest way to find out if a girl is single (may sound like a strange question, but I'm serious, I already made a fool of myself once, when I found out that a girl I really liked and was about to ask out was dating someone I used to be friends.. In this case I don't know much about this girl [she's actually new to the district, but she's been here the entire year, so I have no clue].. I like her a lot, and we look at each other a lot.. (by look at I mean stare :P) Anyways, she's smiled at me a lot, but I THINK she's shy like me, but I could be wrong. I really don't know.. I suck around girls, and I just don't know what to say as well. And if I eventually ask her out, I don't want to discover that she's dating someone. I don't want to look like a dumbass or a fool. Because if she seriously is going out with someone, I wouldn't mind still being able to be her friend. (She's a year older than me, and I have gathered enough confidence to talk to her [I've become much more social than I used to be] but I'm just not sure what to say, and again if I bring something up, I don't want to all the sudden, right there in that moment discover that she's going out with someone. I'm not friends with any of her friends, and none of my friends even know who she is. Asking a girl if she's single just seems weird to me. So yeah, I have no fucking clue what to do.
