I am muslim and I pray 5 times a day and I fast the 30 days of Ramadan each year since I was 9. Also, I MIGHT be gay. Is it normal? Or does it even count?

By my thoughts, religion is something that can be changed, however, sexuality cannot. So yes.

What do you mean?Do you mean anyone who is Muslim cannot be homosexual?Of course you can,it means that you are attracted to boys instead of girls in sexual ways,Islam has just prohibited sexual intercourse and acts between people in same genders, but it hasn't said that anyone who is attracted to the same sex is not Muslim.

Do you have any kind of religious views too?I mean serious ones...

It's possible, not all religions are homophobic.
In your case? I don't know, i'm not familiar with Islam that much.

I think it is.
I've known people who fit this description.

Yeah, it's possible. I don't think you should change your religion because you are gay either, I don't know if islam works the same where you can be forgiven of your sins and all, but for me, I feel like even if you are gay and act on it, you can be forgiven. I wouldn't just give up religion entirely because I want a boyfriend. Don't sacrifice an eternity of happiness for anything

Religion doesn't change anything except your views. Sexuality is not a choice.

Technically yes. It's just difficult and opens you up to judgement.

This also applies pretty much to Christians. Feeling attracted to other guys is not a sin in itself, but having intercourse can be considered a sin.

It is absolutely possible to be gay and religious. Even if you do think it might be a sin, so what. I'm super strong in my faith, and I have: lied, coveted, had pre-marital sex, stolen, I've pretty much broken ever commandment there is except for the murder thing. But, I still love the God I serve, and I don't let the things I do wrong get in the way of my relationship with God.

Very well said.

Of course you can be religious and homosexual, think about it like this. We according to my religion it's a fact we sin everyday, so why let one sin get in the way of your religious beliefs?

Totally agree! Your sexual orientation is what you are by birth, there is no choice. Religion is yours to choose. It may be muslim, hindu, zoroastrism, or one of the many branches of christianity, or something else. No one is born into a religion.

Of course it is! Your religion must not approve of your sexuality, but you can't help your sexuality. Religion can be a personal thing, your sexuality doesn't change your faith and your faith can't change your sexuality.

The parts of the bible that even talk about being gay being a sin also say eating shellfish is a sin, shaving your sideburns and other weird things.

So yeah, i dont think being gay is a sin. I dont think men have the right to judge. Shouldnt they leave that to their god to do?

I have a Muslim friend from Algeria who's bisexual (he won't admit it, but he is) and very promiscuous all months out of the year excluding Ramadan, when he goes into full hafiz mode. seems legit.
