It's a normal reaction, most of the times. A relationship is based, among other things, on trust between two people. Sometimes, those people aren't ready for such commitment.

Hell to the yes. I had known someone who grew obsessive over his new girlfriend to the point where he was reading her Facebook messages and holding grudges over every other male that girt talked to.. it was absolutely bezerk.

But there are always those people who can be themselves around whoever, no matter which group of people; friends or girlfriend/boyfriend. I love those kinds of people :)
