My stomach isn't the strongest in the bunch. I have to be really careful about what I eat, because if I'm not careful it might end up with a not-so-pleasant trip to the bathroom. That's ok though, usually it doesn't happen too often and goes away after I take a shit ton of Pepto Bismol and go to the restroom.

But recently, it's been happening a lot. Yesterday it happened, and today it happened - the thing is, I only ate food that I would normally eat and be fine with. It's frankly quite annoying and I was just wondering if you think I should see a doctor about it? Idk if they have perscription grade upset stomach/antidiarrheal but if they do it would be really nice to not have my stomach put me in pain just cause I ate a burrito. Yeah.

What kinds of food do you eat?

What kinds of food do you eat?

Mostly grains (like bread and pasta), meat (beef and chicken), protein (like beans, eggs and fish), and confectionery items (like cookies, hostess cakes, ice cream, etc). I try to include fruit into my meals on occasion as well.
Usually it's a lot of dairy product that sends my stomach over the edge, but sometimes I'll eat something that normally doesn't make my stomach upset, and it ends up making my stomach upset.

Maybe it's partially related to something psychological? I don't know

sounds like a chronic condition that should be diagnosed. i mean why suffer if it can be treated effectively or even cured with the right med? seems when ppl are having those kinds of problems, it's something with their intestines, not their stomach.

You're talking about IBS, right?

looked into IBS online and it sounds likely. I'll see my doctor when I get the chance.

You may be lactose-intolerant. You said dairy products send your stomach over the edge, and that usually happens to people that are lactose-intolerant.

Try going a day without eating any dairy products, and see what happens.

Edit: Just read the other replies. Could be IBS, too.

Sounds like irritable bowel syndrome to me, or diverticulosis.
Definitely get this checked out. I have gastroparesis so I know what constant stomach issues/vomiting/other stuff feels like.

Are you lactose tolerant/do you drink milk?
I used to drink like 5 glasses of milk a day when I was younger, ten suddenly mid puberty I couldn't drink milk anymore.
Happened over night.
Now I can't drink milk wihout getting sick and upset stomach.
Also it could be anything in your food, sometimes puberty changes the tolerance of what you can digest

Could be a lactose issue, could also be a gluten problem, make an appointment with a stomach doctor and they should be able to put together some [-](fun)[/-] tests to see what's making your stomach act up.

Stress / anxiety, possibly causing it?

If it were gluten, you'd probably be feeling sluggish / lazy and bloated, not exactly what you're describing.
