I just recently joined, and I'm 17 and 5'3" and very self-conscious about my height. I'm the shortest guy in my grade, and I always look up to people when I speak. I always feel awkward walking in the halls and even in public. My height is sometimes the topic of jokes, but I don't get bullied or anything. I don't know any other short guys in my school or town, and I would like to know if anyone here is experiencing the same problem I am? Does anyone else walk outside everyday and automatically feel inferior to anyone taller than you?

I'm about your size, even a bit shorter. It's annoying sometimes cuz most others my age are much taller and some also always make jokes...hut honestly I don't care. I'm okay with my height and don't think about it except when I need something from a shelf I can't reach while shopping, lol.

I am tall (6 2) and I have a close friend who is maybe 5 5 with shoes on. He is one of the smartest, funny, fun guys I know. Yeah, he gets some teasing, but it is not mean and he returns dis with dis. He is one tough customer and has made a place for himself in the lives of many of us. His girl friend, who is really hot, is taller than him and he is the envy of a lot of guys cause of her. So, my point is, you are what you are so make the best of it. Your height is only one aspect of who you are, do NOT let it be the controlling factor. Be outgoing, be proud of who you are. If you exude confidence others will since your self worth. Good luck for a happy life.:)

I'm pretty short myself, being about 5'6, maybe 5'7. It occasionally bothers me, most of the time I'm at peace with it though. Currently it doesn't affect anything in my life that means something to me.

I'm only 5 ft. 8 but to be honest if you're over 5 feet it's not really considered short, unless all your friends are tall. I think perhaps a few times people have made comments about my height but it's never been a problem.

I'm not short myself but I know some short guys and I know it's not all bad, they're usualy pretty good at building muscle and all, and I have a theory that the puberty that didn't go in height did go in you know other manly stuff :P

I'm shorter than most of my Friends and i feel pretty insecure about it but then
i say to myself i'm not short i'm fun sized.
But yeah i understand walking out and feeling inferior but eventually
You just have to except and if people make a joke tell them to fuck off.

I'm 5'7'' (almost 6' but every bit counts in height) AND I HATE IT. Most people at my school are already in their 6' s and I feel so dwarfed.

I am 5'3" and 19 to be 20. Cheer up, you have a few more years, I don't. I am short like my mother, but tall people do unnerve me a bit.
