Then I don't know how you'll be able to read the book without checking it out from the people there. I bet that after you do it though, you'll feel a lot better about it. It's like me and rollercoasters: I don't want to ride them, but after I ride one, I wonder why I worried in the first place.

u should check how many times its been taken out. it may be popular and not a big deal. either way, being closeted doesnt mean being ashamed. it may take a bit of courage but a good book is a good book at the end of the day.

Honestly I would just check them out. If you're really concerned, check out some straight love stories along with them. You don't have to read them, just use them as sort of a decoy.

I don't think the public library would order newer books if they didn't think people would check them out. With budget crunches being the norm in places like libraries, they don't just order every book that comes out nowadays.

Besides, public libraries usually get lots of traffic - with people checking out and bringing back books. If you are are worried about what a librarian may think about your book selection, then go in the morning. With all the things they do during the day...chances are that person will forget by the end of the day anyways.

In my own opinion, though....it's probably not as big of a deal as you think. I know it may be scary, but acceptance is becoming the norm. Those books wouldn't even be on the shelf if it wasn't.

If the library got it, then they expect people will check it out, they'll probably just pass it off as something you were told to do for a relative of sibling. if they ask just say its for someone else.

at my library, you can get a card, use a scanner all by your self, and just walk out. Makes it all very convinient.
Crap, didn't read, sorry, lol. :whoops:
