Tonight I'll be drinking alcohol for the first time, and it's an after party for a wedding so it's with adults and I don't know if that's good or bad because they drink a lot so I'll be the awkward one not knowing how it goes. What was it like for you the first time you drank, anything i need to keep in mind?

Take it slow and let yourself get familiar with the taste. Avoid mixing too much drinks as well.

Well, the first thing I'd say is: Don't drink if you don't actually want to, just because other people are drinking, doesn't mean you have. If it's your first time though, I'd avoid heavy alcohol, ie; spirits because they're a lot stronger than your average beer, cider or wine. Go for something with a low alcohol content first, if you like the taste - some alcohol is just borderline gross anyway - try different things. However, take it slowly because you don't know at first how your body will react to the content.

Even if you pee a lot still drink a lot of water too.

Well I was supposed to drive home so I couldn't drink too much. I didn't end up driving though. If I knew I wasn't I definitely would have had a few more shots.
