Guitar Nostalgia?

I've been considering getting a new bass guitar, but I don't have a terribly large amount of money to spend on it. It's not definite, but I may end up having to sell my current bass, and I'm feeling conflicted: a new, higher-quality bass would certainly lead to new, better experiences, but I do have a certain sentimentality for my old one. You could also make the argument that it's good to move on from certain things and that it's better to regret something you did do rather than something you could have done and didn't.

Abridged version: I'm conflicted about selling my old bass. I have no doubt that I would enjoy something new, but I still have some sentimentality attached to my old one.

What do you think I should do?

I think you should work on saving up the money. No need to rush.

I think you should save up the money. I'd hate to have to sell my guitar gear to get new stuff. I'd rather wait until I can buy it, and add it to what I already have.
