President Barack Obama announced today that an American was on board during Malaysia Airlines Flight 17.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States began building a case Friday that would pin the blame for the downing of the passenger jet over Ukraine on separatist forces supported by Russia, in a disaster that could dramatically escalate the crisis in Ukraine. President Barack Obama said one American was among the nearly 300 killed and called for an immediate cease-fire to allow for an unfettered investigation.

OH NO! NOT AN AMERICAN! BECAUSE APPARENTLY DEAD AMERICANS ARE SO MUCH WORSE THAN DEAD ASIANS!
Why God why? Why couldn't it of just been some lowly Arab or Indian guy? But no, alas, it had to be an American, God's chosen people and gift to humanity.

Soon the US of A uses that American citizen as an excuse of joining that wars, because off the coast of Crimea lies huge reserves of oil and gas.
I support though the Ukrainian side of this war. Best thing we can actually do now is to give sanctions to Russia and give money as a gift to Ukrainian army and government.

Holy fuck people not every war is about oil and gas! Sanctions won't do shot. Oh no you blocked a bank account oh no! Oh this rich Russian dude can't take his vacation oh the terror! Give me a break.
The only thing that will stop Russian separatists and Russia is to mass a huge ass coalition on the border and say the second you enter Ukraine we're unleashing hell.

Who will this coalition consist of? The Germans who get their gas from the Russians, the British who have an army made up of part times soldiers, the french even? We wouldn't have a chance against 900,000 Russian troops, our air force would have to fly longer missions, our troops aren't trained to fight in conditions, are best forces are in the Middle East, we don't have any money and the public don't want another fucking foreign war. I'm sick of teenagers who think that war is just a game, if we send a 'huge ass coalition' it will turn into a ''huge ass'' pile of bodies.
I wonder if you support Cuba doing the same to Florida since the CIA shot down a cuban plane in the 1970's

USA, Australia, Canada, uk, Ukraine and other European nations
We are winding down in the middle east and pulling our troops out.
Don't pull your "sick of teenagers shit." We are the same damn age with the same experience level as far as war. I know war isn't pretty. It's ugly as fuck but it's necessary.

Ha-the UK won't give you any support-we voted against going into Syria. Can't see Canada getting involved-it's no interest of them. The problem isn't troops-it's infrastructure and support. We don't have the money or the planes to fly in all those troops, the kitchens, the toilets and the doctors they need.
It's necessary, please tell me why it's bad for Russia to liberate Russian Crimea but it's okay for Israel to blow up Gaza? Do you propose we send a coalition over there

Personally I am sorry for the entire airplane, and especially the Dutch. But the reason this came out was to clarify that there was an American on board. Initial reports were claiming there were no Americans on board.

Because Crimea belongs to Ukraine and it has since the fall I the Soviet Union. Gaza belongs to Israel and Hamas is just a militant group

Gaza belongs to Israel
No-Israel invaded and stole it
It belongs to Palestine. In June 1967, the the Gaza Strip was captured by Israel as a result of the Six-Day War. In 2005, Israel withdrew all of its military personnel and civilians from the Gaza Strip and left the territory under Palestinian control http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_country_does_the_Gaza_Strip_belong_to

Palestine is gone and dead. Right now Israel is fighting Hamas which is a militant group part of the Muslim brotherhood. They are the same as al queda. Even then Hamas is divided. The political side agreed to the cease fire while the militants continued fighting.

Don't take this the wrong way, but does their nationalities matter? They're all equal people. No nationality is superior to another.
I actually thought it was about 10-20 americans, can't remember...
It was a very tragic incident and I wish everyone on board that plane RIP.

Saying there the same as Al-Qaeda is like saying that Catholics who fought in Northern Ireland are the same as Spanish Catholics who fought in the Civil war of the 1930's. They're not like Al-Qaeda at all.

Very few people want war, remember when we were on the brink of attacking Syria and the majority of people were against it? One American died, does that justify putting thousands more in danger? Bet if it was all Asians or non-Western nationalities on the plane you wouldn't be screeching like a warhawk.
You know where we really need troops? The Southside of Chicago

So I'm prejudice? Russia and the separatists need to answer. Plus I believe it's all you guys who are screaming about crimes a gainer humanity but of course the us is at fault somehow.
Chicago needs to help its self and plus the military can't be deployed in country.

yes it can-have you heard of Little Rock in 1957 when Ike sent the 101st into a school to secure civil rights?

No-Al-Qaeda are much more anti-american where as the Muslim brother hood are more on par with the fundamentalist Islam we see in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.

That's just your ignorance then, your becoming the walking stereotype of the Neocon who can't even point out the country on a map that he wants to bomb. They're terrorists by western views but Russia, Turkey and Iran don't see them as terrorists, any expert in the field will tell you that you can't simply lump all terrorists in the same boat. If you think that all terrorist groups are the same then you're very misguided

Of course it's crimes against humanity, every possible economic sanction should be imposed on Russia. Its not the us at fault, it's you guys who keep screaming war who are at fault. Everything cant be solved by the bullet, Russia isn't some medium sized country in the middle east that we can easily launch air strikes.
