I'm a 15 year old boy and I'm emabarassed to post this. I had and accident last night. I peed the bed in I don't know how many years. Is this caused from puberty or should I tell my parents and see a doctor?

puberty doesn't cause you to pee your bed. You may have a bladder infection or just drank too much before bed. I would see about a possible infection.

It's more common than you think it is. Sometimes your body just isn't able to wake itself up or send the correct signals to your brain saying your bladder is full and you need to go to the bathroom. It happens. I've had it happen when I was like 14. Usually if you haven't been getting an adequate amount of sleep and your body is exhausted, it won't function properly. You may have been in a very deep sleep and your body just didn't wake itself up. If it continues to happen then talk to your parents and a doctor, you may just have an overactive bladder.
An infection would more than likely cause more symptoms such as burning when you pee, blood in your urine, a high fever. You would already know something is wrong. If this was just a one time thing then definitely don't freak out and worry about it too much. Just keep an eye on the amount you drink before bed and try to get enough sleep at night so your body is functioning properly and can wake yourself up if you need to pee in the middle of the night.

Don't sweat it, it happens to all of us at some point. Now if it becomes a problem, sweat it and go see a doctor.

If it happens again talk to ur parents. However, if its easier u could talk to a public health nurse at school.

right now its just an isolated incident. lots of harmless things could have caused it. basically your brain sent a signal to your bladder to release contents.
