Why? I feel a calling to serve my country. Not because of Call of Duty, not because "war would be cool", but because the ability to do what you want, say as you want, and protest what you want to protest without legal challenge is something that truly deserves protection. It is a rare thing in a world of extremism, oppression, discrimination, and uncertainty. I would risk my life so that my family and future generations could sleep soundly at night knowing their nation is safe from attack thanks to the silent warriors protecting it.
