Am I The Worst Person Ever?

So last night I went to the party and I'm going to be honest and tell you it was my first time drinking and I got a little drunk and was flirting with the only straight guy at this party and he was flirting back and I kissed him on the forehead and was leading him on and we made plans to meet up another day. Also every one at the party saw me leading him on and wanted us to get together. But later that night I had sobered up and said I just want to be friends.

Now its the next day and I don't like him at all and feel the worst for leading him on and just got a text asking if I would still like to go out, I let him down by saying "sorry for leading you on but I'm not really up for it, I think your better off seeing someone else, but it was fun talking with you, sorry". Now everyone thinks I'm horrible for leading him on and he really liked me. I feel so bad. Oh also he didn't reply after mine.

Do you think I handled it well with the text and just want to be a little reassured, has anyone been in a similar situation what did you do?

You handled it pretty good. It might have been a good idea to tell him that you were a little intoxicated and was not in the right state of mind at the time it occurred. Either way, he will eventually get over it.

Yeah at least you were honest he may be a little upset but, in the end you didn't keep leading him on.

What would I do if I was in the same situation? The exact same thing as you did. If the girl didn't appeal to sober me, I would tell her. There's nothing wrong with your actions ;)

I think you'll find that a lot of people have got into that situation! You did the best thing by just being honest in saying that in the sober light of day you were not as into it.

I think you handled it pretty well. I think you should of told him you were drunk though. But, yeah, you handled it well. don't worry :D
