HI Cori,

Sorry you are having to fight cancer at your age- to have to fight it twice- well, you must be a VERY strong person. I think many of us teens get caught up in the social drama of our lives, and seldom realize that there are people like you that are simply fighting to stay alive. I have not had cancer, but have an older brother that is a pediatric oncologist/hematologist, so his practice is 100% kids with cancer. He has allowed me to set up some therapy groups that are strictly voluntary for his patients. I was trained in peer therapy, which means that I try very hard NOT to say something stupid, but to be supportive, optimistic, and offer an ear to anyone in group that just wants to bitch, rant & rave about how life is unfair. We average about 10 kids per weekly session, & the kids are welcome to come & go as they please. I doubt that I have helped them, but they have DEFINITELY helped me better appreciate appreciate their struggles, challenges, & courage.

I have asthma, but that is absolutely nothing when compared to cancer. Some of my friends believe a zit on their face is a personal crisis. If they know what you have to deal with (Chemo, radiation therapy, prednisone, etc), it would help get their lives into perspective.

I wish you well, would like, with your permission, to include you in my daily prayers, and am available if you just want a pen pal,

Sincere wishes for a quick remission & eradication of the kidney tumors, my friend.

I don't have cancer, never have, hopefully never will, but I am a true supporter of fighting cancer and cancer research. I wish you the best of luck with fighting cancer and uniting with others.

I'm really sorry to hear about your cancer. I know how difficult this time can be, but all I can say is stay strong. My dad was recently diagnosed with Grade 2 and Grade 3 (cancerous) brain tumours. His health and behaviour has been deteriorating and we really wish he'd get better. I really hope you get well, I know you can get through this. You fought a whole battle with cancer before, and it's in you to win another.

My cousin just finished radiation for thyroid cancer, luckily she found out about it at stage 1 but it still shook the family. You guys are so strong for what you go through <3

I'm actually donating most of my hair to children with cancer in a couple days. It's not much but it's the most I can do to at least provide something nice for kids trapped in extremely unfortunate circumstances.

You're incredibly strong to have fought it once and I believe you can fight it again. Best wishes. :)
