Is it shallow of me to be annoyed when my girlfriend wears a top where her boobs are practically hanging out when we both know people blatantly stare?

Due to a shitty past relationship where I was cheated on I was left insecure, I've seen people call insecure people selfish, being told they over react etc, it makes me so angry. Because of these insecurities the only thing that goes throughmy head is that she is trying to get someone elses attention. She assures me she isn't and I dont want to be the dick telling her she cant wear what she wants. Just hope my bitch of an ex who did this to me gets treated the way she treats people.

You're not shallow, you're just a bit jealous and over-protective, but that simply means you love your girlfriend, and she should realise that. I understand how you might feel a bit uncomfortable when she wears those tops with a low neckline, but I don't think she would like much if you just start to control what she wears, right? It might be something she has always done, and I guess she doesn't want to change it only because she's in a relationship. I think it's a matter of trustfulness between you two, other guys might stare and stuff, but as long as she doesn't cheat on you, you don't have to fear anything. You need to trust her, basically, that's one of the most important things in a relationship.

I agree with the above, but I'd just add:

Think of all the times you've looked at a girl you thought was hot, even though she wasn't wearing anything especially revealing. A lot of guys will check girls out whatever they wear... You have to get used to it.

Think of it like this: Them checking her out is a compliment to you, because you got her ;)

Nope, you're not shallow. I'd feel protected and loved too when my bf does that but being a control freak is another thing. :)
