View Full Version : Why don't drugs have any effect on me???

So this is really puzzling to me. I've tried drugs a few times, but none of the times have they had any kind of effect on me, mentally or physically. Like a month ago I tried a joint my friend passed to me, and didn't feel any effect after smoking it. I tossed it up to me not having enough, as I only had a few smokes from it.

Now just earlier today I was at my friend's house, and she started smoking some meth, then gave it to me, and I had a fair few long and deep smokes from it, and yet even then I still didn't feel any effects from it at all (although there really wasn't much meth, it was only a small amount). Then I did a couple of lines of MDMA, but after ages I didn't feel any effects that my friend did (she said her nose was burning and she felt tired, but I felt neither, although I was already tired so maybe I didn't know). My nose did start tingling a lot, but that was like two hours after I did it, and I was talking really fast in the car, but I normally talk quickly, so I really don't know.

This is really puzzling to me, and I have no idea what's wrong with me. It's so weird that I feel nothing from any of these. Has anyone been through this before, or maybe knows what's going on?

ETA: Never mind, I think that they did affect me, just way later. A few hours later I was sitting at home and was really shaky and edgy and couldn't sit still or concentrate, so I guess that was the meth and MDMA kicking in finally haha.

Uh, I don't know that I'd consider this a BAD thing, personally, but ok.

Seems like your system might be naturally tolerant of this kind of thing, and that you didn't take enough to get high. That's just my personal speculation.

However, in the event that you decide to try again, be careful, MDMA I've heard is easy to OD on, and if you OD on pseudoephedrine (an ingredient in meth- I'm speaking from experience) it's pretty awful. Both fall into the category of "if it doesn't kill you, you'll wish you were dead".

It sounds like you were subconsciously holding back doing drugs correctly because you knew the effects, so you made sure that it was done incorrectly. Otherwise, if you did these correctly they would have a biological effect which you have no control over unless you force them to be thrown up (if swallowed)
