View Full Version : Polyamory (Mostly Geared Around Closed Relationships)

So my boyfriend and I had been talking about having a threesome with a woman for a while, for a few reasons (my idea), and I posed the idea of having a sort of triad instead for a period of time.

A triad is typically a three-way, closed, polyamorous relationship. (I.e only the three are involved with each other, it's not "open") Everyone dates each other separately (three couples) and together (one triad).

Of course, this seems veeeeeery largely like a fantasy at this point- poly folks can be kind of a little too free spirited, and most could be our parents, or at least pretty close. Plus, we'd have to find someone we were both attracted to that was attracted to us.

Anyways, we want her to move in with us, etc., she'll be a part of our life for a while. Ultimately, I'd still like to marry my boyfriend, so we'd probably agree on a set amount of time (or at least, to come back and reassess our situation) and then end it.

Does anyone else have experiences with poly relationships? (If you're going to tell me how sick minded or something this is, please don't bother- this is not a debate thread or forum, you can take this to ROTW if you feel that strongly against it.)

I don't think that there is anything wrong with what you're proposing. Although it may be hard to work out if she wouldn't want to leave after that amount of time. I think you should try it and see how you guys feel than move from there. I guess that's what you Said so i would go for it
