I've had a lot of experience with this. As like, the only gay friend my straight guy friends have, I on't find it to be a problem with them. Unless they think I'm being flirty (lets be honest, I pretty much am 70% of the time- but they'll never know ;D), they'll talk about that sort of stuff with me. It's apart of growing up- talking about masturbation and shit like that with your friends.

So, to answer your question: Straight guys normally will, because not all of them are homophobic. Some are just very... Secretive about that stuff.

I would in no way feel to have to tell a gay friend differently of what I do. This is a pointless question, the only reason why I think someone would say no is if they were homophobic.

I think people wonder if the gay guy asking is asking it to lead into something else, for example:

"Do you masturbate?"
"Yes, of course!"
"Great, so do I. Do you want to do it together some time?"

or

"Do you masturbate?"
"Yes, doesn;t everyone?"
"Have you every wondered what it would be like for someone to do it for you?"
"Yes, but I've only imagined a girl doing it for me"
"Would you let me do it for you?"

and then if that comes off onto other kinds of gay sex. That doesn't mean you need to be shy or lie as a response to the question. You can tell him to mind his own business if that's how you feel or you can be honest. You also need to know what you would and wouldn't do and be prepared to say no at the appropriate time. So, if you have no interest in masturbating with him then if he suggests it say no. If you're fine with masturabing together or doing each other then do it, if you want and if you don't want a blow job then say no if it is offered. You should not do anything you're not happy with.
