Missing 30 days of school is ridiculous. Your only option is to suck it up and go to school because of the circumstances you put yourself in. Take some daytime cold medicine - make sure its non-drowsy - and go to school.
I hope you learned your lesson. You need to stop cutting class because its terribly putting your future in jeopardy. Education will determine your future job and you don't want to look back and regret your foolish behavior during youth.

^^What he said. If your parents don't think it's serious enough for you to be excused, then just deal with it and go to class. Simple as that. You can't just skip out on everything because of a bit of discomfort. Take some dayquil, grit your teeth, and get done what needs to be done.

Exactly. Its sad you got sick at the worst time, but thats what you get for skipping. Thats all I have to add, Ant and Serenity have it down:)

Middle School and High school are the most important parts of your schooling career, my mate never turns up, he got moved to all the bottom sets and now cannot stay on till he is 18, in other words he has to leave at 16
30 Days is shocking, Im surprised social services arent getting involved, thats what they do at my school if your off for more than 15 days

America is much looser with education. 30 days missed and you go to court, plain and simple. After court, either social services or juvie I believe

No district is the same. All have different policies.

Plan and simple, you shouldn't have dicked around with your "sick days", now you have to put up with going to school sick. The only thing that you could possibly do is go to the doctor to get a note, if you're really that bad. And I'm pretty sure if you were bad enough to go to the doctor they would have sent you home today. From what I've read, no body is saying it's your fault that you got sick, they are saying it's your fault that you screwed up and didn't think about if you got sick or something.

hey that was mean!
Well I am sure that you have learned that they are serious when they say they will take you to court if you are truant. its like the little by who cried wolf. Now as for your sickness, youre gonna have to get some meds fast and then try to get better asap. So yeah but next time you think about skipping think twice. Because you may end up in this situation again.

This takes me back to 2nd grade where I missed 3 and a half weeks of school because I pretended to be sick. Well you know what I did? I sucked it up and got on with my life because I knew that there was no escaping it.
So I would suggest that you would go back to school and be as careful as possible. You know was your hands and all that to keep safe. Then try to see a doctor about this and see what he can do

Yea you did this to yourself. Also you would not be having this problem if you didn`t skip in the first place, keep this up and this will be where you will end up!!!

Go to a doctor and if the doctor says don't go then don't go thats pretty much your last option and i'm sure that they'll accept an excused absence if you haven't used them all up.

THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR MISSING SCHOOL. WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT THAN SCHOOL?

That was a bit harsh, Doug ... o.O But seriously, it looks like you just have to suck it up and go to school. Take some cold-medicine, Tylenol and take some throat lozenges with you during the day.
You really need to buckle down and discipline yourself more, dude. Otherwise you're going to end up getting kicked out of school, and ending up in a dead-end job at 25. Education is VITAL.

I'd have to agree with everyone. Even 18 or 20 days is pretty ridiculous. Go to school.

Some schools get picky about excused absences, even. I have a friend with a pacemaker, and he misses a lot of school for necessary doctor appointments, and other things related to his heart condition. All of his absences are excused, and he doesn't miss school unless he has to, but last year his mom got fined for all of his absences. Thankfully, his mom is a teacher and she knows the school system really well, she was able to fight to get them to forget about the fine and to not pay attention to any absences excused as medical. But it can be a big mess. After-all, schools get paid based on attendance. If you don't show up, that's one kid they don't get paid for that day. After a while it adds up, and they get greedy. Yes, it's also about your education, but that's not the only reason they tell you to stay in school.
