Stop trying to sell your crappy mystery meat by latching yourself onto the lgbt movement, BurgerKing.
Seriously, I can't believe people are falling for this crap. Its a marketing ploy, nothing more. Maybe if BurgerKing stopped underpaying their workers, serving incredibly unhealthy food, buying from companies that use unethical farming and ranching techniques, and vehemently opposing all legislation that hurts their sales, THEN we can talk about how great they are.

Of course it's a marketing ploy, but at least they aren't taking regressive steps such as say, Hobby Lobby.
Also, this is literally any fast food chain. I know for a fact that McDonalds has broken about a dozen child labor laws and has covered up sexual harassment and assault FOR A FACT- and that's just the location I worked and for the year I worked. Not to mention health code violations, accepting bribes/blackmail (promoting people so they would get something/wouldn't get found out about something), child endangerment, and countless other things. I could tell you HORROR STORIES.
I'd bet you safe money that 90%+ of commercial businesses are covering up terrible things to save face and have good PR, and that a fair amount of "good" they've done is either not what it seems or entirely for the publicity.
Don't believe me? Look at Starbucks, as the most recent example.
This is what corporations do.

Exactly. What I'm saying is, serving a burger in a rainbow wrapper at a store in San Francisco for a few days doesn't automatically cancel all of that out and make them saints.

Oh no, of course not, I'm just saying that these guys are not even close to the only ones guilty. :P

I think it's kind of cool, but I have to agree. They are trying to ride the gay pride train and make supporters feel like they care.

Oh yeah, not by a long shot.
I just think it's silly that people put so much weight into tiny meaningless sentiments like this. People boycotted Chick Fil A because their CEO had anti gay views, and that's all fine and dandy, but there are waaaay better things to boycott them for.
People just pay so much attention to advertising and these sensationalist tactics, while completely ignoring the despicable actions of most fast food companies. Seriously, I'd rather buy from an antigay chickfila that buys from ethical sources and doesn't treat it's employees like crap than a progay burgerking that doesn't buy from ethical sources and does treat their employees like crap. Although in reality, they all treat their employees like crap.:P
All I'm saying is, actions speak louder than words.....and commercials.

Neat idea, but it's not going to make me eat BK any more or less than I do now. I have a slightly more favorable view of Burger King than I did before, but I still don't want a Whopper.

Well, at least they're trying to make it SEEM like they care about the LGBT movement, but I usually go to restaurants for the food. I can honestly say that I haven't been in Burger King for a solid two or three years.

A bit stupid in my opinion, what the fuck does bk have to do with sexuality? I don't get why they would even get involved. Like if I want a cheeseburger I'll buy it whether its wrapped up in rainbow shit or not.

It's a really nice gesture, until every time you watch a Youtube Video the advertisement before the video starts to promote it. Then you realize, hmmm this isn't really helping the lgbt community as much as it's promoting a fast food chain for helping the lgbt community.

Ah, gotta love it when corporations use actual issues as marketing ploys to make money.

^^^^^^^Yes, fucking yes yes yessity yessers.
Look at us, we just donated 0.000005% of our annual income to help starving penguins or some shit! Now come buy our greasy crap!
Customers: Wow! They must care about penguins if they donated what is to them a completely insignificant amount of money and then advertised their charity on national television as part of a marketing campaign!

I think it was really brave of BK to extend this to such a historically gay-friendly area like San Francisco.

The thing with LGBT rights is don't look what they said in 2014-look what they said 10 years ago before it became popular/trendy to support LGBT rights and issues. Companies/Politicians are trying to jump on the bandwagon hoping that it will boost they're appeal but really they're only doing it now because it's safe.
Well done to Burger King for trying to be progressive though, they're better than chick fil A

Oh nice marketing ploy... I'm pretty sure everyone would flip out if BK was making an anti-gay ad even worse than they are doing with this.
