I was doing some googling on this yesterday because I was bored and looking for something to do. If any of you have anything you want to share on this topic feel free to post it in this thread. Anyways here are a couple of things I found.

GeoCaching (http://www.geocaching.com/)
This one is a bit hard to explain, but I'll do my best. It is basically an online scavenger hunt. You get coordinates of "caches" near your area and you can look for them. They can have anything in them, but once you find them you have to put the stuff back for other people. It's really cool and fun to do and there is almost always one near you. Check it out.

PostCrossing (http://www.postcrossing.com/)
Simple. You send a postcard to anyone around the world and you can recieve postcards too. It is a cool thing to do, but the postage can cost a couple of dollars or so every time you send one. Still pretty fun.

I've done geocaching, it's good fun and I enjoyed it. Haven't heard of the other one so will have to try that out.

I've heard of both before, they're pretty neat!

I like language exchange forums/websites. There's one where you can actually record yourself speaking in English and post it to help Japanese speakers learn English! I almost did once, but I kept getting interrupted.

Don't remember the name of the site, but if I do, I'll edit my post.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but it is sort of in the vein of PostCrossing - "PaperBackSwap" is a place where you can send your old books to people who want them & will actually read them. You pay for the postage (yes, it is a couple of bucks) but if you do read a lot then this will be great as you can request books to be sent to you FREE to you...

Anyway, feel free to take down my post if this isn't the right place to put it in.
