Hello all,
Lately i have been always thinking about my weight. I am about 180 pounds and i am 5ft 7inches tall. And i am also 15. I have always been a bit chubby, and lazy.
So my question is, does me caring about my body image have anything to do with puberty. And how can i stop siting on the couch, and start doing something about my weight.
Thank You

Well its honestly up to you but HEALTH wise, you should start watching weight, your metabolism won't be as fast as you age so you will get fat if you don't do some kind of exercise.

I'll help you by telling you the following:
get off your lazy ass and excersise!
Your weight is fine. You feeling unsure is a puberty thing, but puberty will also make you grow taller, reducing your chubbyness.

you should think about maybe joining sports? i was around the same and then i began sports and exercising more and i slimmed down quite a bit! so dont worry, thats something you can fix if you dont like it.

I have some good tips for you. I was in ur situation and I dont like to exercise and I care about my body image. First start to drink water more, and stop drinking carbonated drink. Second have a heavy breakfast, medium lunch and a light dinner. Try to avoid any snack or eat fruit as snack. Also start walking, walk as much as you can. Also try to not to eat anything 3 hours before bed. I know it is hard but start slowly. Remember this take times. Make it to a habit. Take it slow. I lost 20-30 pound over all without much exercise. I use to wear 40 size pant, now is about 28-30 size pant.

I was stick skinny the whole life until puberty messed me up. I had a great skinny body with 6 packs that looked very sporty...development progressed normally until hitting 16 now have started to fill out and my abs and features are getting softer...now I got a small tummy roll and 2 little mboobs too...Cos I was not sporty I cannot find the energy or fitness to start working out...RIght now I cannot run even 200 meters withotu getting out of breath and can do only 5 crunches.....So I am fighting a losing battle against weight. I wont be surpised to end up fat by mid 20s.

I don't think puberty has anything to do with it unless you want to look better for girls (or guys) which ever you prefer

Dude I'm 5'6 and I weigh 105-ish, not to be offensive but you're a little bit more than "a little chubby".
What I'd do is get on to a habit of a healthy diet that'll fit your lifestyle and your body type.
I'd also start to get into running and sports. Jogging can really help with weight loss and it's really one of the only sure-fire ways to getting fit.
Once you lose some weight, I'd start to workout more than running to tone your muscles more (obviously still run but focus more on the development of your muscles). With your body weight and height, it may take up to a year to get into shape but trust me, it's worth it.
Again, sorry for saying that you're more than chubby, but some people don't get motivated to do something unless they get told the truth.
Best of luck! :)
