So uhm, it started with boredom, i just bit my wrist once, but now i seem to do it alot, just bite my wrist/arm and apply as much pressure as possible... it gives me a feeling of relief.

My question was if it had any negative consequences other than the bite marks and eventual image issues...

thank you for any and all replies! ^^

Okay, this sucks. I just found out i might have bitten *just a bit* too hard, long and often and now this bite mark doesn't go away. It's been sitting there for 24 hours straight. I'm scared D:

Uh yes. You can damage yourself with your teeth. Just like when you eat food, you could take a chunk out of your arm.

I would suggest trying to stop.

I think you should go to the doctor if the bite mark isn't gone yet.

I bite my fingers/hands all the time. I've always bitten my nails, then it went on to finger tips, then fingers, then hands and wrists. It sounds nasty but it's still not as nasty as my handwashing which leaves my hands dry and red all the time anyway. Kek.
i don't think there's much negativity besides it being self harm just like finger biting hair pulling and what not, it can start of as a tick but get worse later.

You're right, the biting mark is gone, but i keep on biting myself :c I even bit a little pattern from small to bigger marks and felt like a fucking artist while at the same time getting this great feel xD

It's not so much the feeling on the skin, i've also always loved chewing on things. I don't know why, i still do, i see three wrecked soda caps laying around me, many bits of a wooden stick, a bent key, a ripped up plush hamster, 4 fucked up pens...

I need to learn to control myself. I think. :3

You could chew gum whenever you feel the need to bite something

unfortunately, chewing gum in my school is disallowed, and chewing gum anywhere whatsoever in my town is frowned upon... they're not allowed to complain about me biting other things then XD

Do you do it because of self harming reasons, or just to bite yourself?
