Differences between 8th grade and sophomore baseball?

Title says it all.
I played baseball from K-8th grade. I didn't freshman year because I hated my school but I am interested at my new school. Only issue is that ill be a sophomore and idk what I need to know or what to expect.

Can anyone help me?

see if you can get involved in AAU summer ball, meet some players from your new school, contact coaches through school and discuss upcoming tryouts, don't be a smartass about how great you are, be willing to play a different position, be as familiar with new school program as possible over the summer, be open to possibilities and GOOD LUCK!

There isn't much of a difference except that it's more competitive.
