I have recently started to shave my chin and upper lip and pubes. How do I get rid of tough stubble on my face and pubic area? I use a disposable razor with shaving gel.

On you're face, shaving upgrain (upwards) will give you a closer shave but will increase the risk of cutting yourself. Same thing goes for down below, although I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST shaving upgrain down below or you'll probably get razor burn and cut yourself, and thats not pretty.

^^ agreed :) shave with the grain first then against the grain using shaving gel both times. Make sure your razor isn't too old (blunt).

How can you tell when a razor is blunt?

If there is any drag, the razor is blunt. With cheap disposables, one use and gone.

If you want to prevent it as much as you can, I'd recommend getting an electric shaver and just after brushing your teeth in the morning do a quick whiz through of your face stopping the hairs from growing.

You can feel it more drag the hair before it cuts. I shave pits and pubes - dont need to shave face yet. The disposable razores with lube strip are good and the brand name ones are best.

Yeah, it's just something you'll have to endure. I personally only shaved my pubes once and didn't like it that much but my face, the stubble just happens lol there's nothing that'll really change it

WAX! I doubt you'll try that. There will be less stubble if you shave everyday, but I don't know how to go any closer than that. I guess running over the area of skin a few times would produce a cleaner shave. I don't really think you need shaving gel, I mean I never used it and I started shaving when I was 12.

You just have to really maneuver the razor correctly and make sure that you have a very good brand. Investing in a nice, reusable throw-away razor is a good idea too. :)
