m ushey guys, i need some help.

im in a marching band, and i just graduated school and im not going back next year so most of my time is spent working or doing something with band. anyway, theres been this guy that ive never talked to but if always thought he was really funny and cute, recently he came out as gay and i think were the only two open/semi open people in band (that i kmow of anyone) so i want to start talking to him but idk how because we have different friend groups and im scared of people :$ so if anyone could help that would be awesome

and another question, hes 16 and im 18, is that considered weird (say your opinipn but dont be rude about it please, this wont change my mind i just wanna know what people think)

I don't think two years age difference is a big deal, as long as no one is getting pressured to do anything they don't want to do.

As for talking to him, really the only thing to do is talk to him. Start a conversation, and if it goes well, maybe ask him on a date.

thanks! and yea, im not really the best at talking to new people because of anxiety but im gonna give it a try and see how it goes

- Be Confident!
- Smile at him a lot.
- Definitely try to talk to him, maybe give him your phone number or something to let him know that you are interested.

Hey! Look I know how you feel. All I can say is talk to him, be friendly and just get to know him. You never know he could be a cool guy! Also, try to find some things that you have in common to get a conversation started. And about the age thing, don't worry about it! If it were like an eight year difference than that's kind of weird but if it's two years, then there is no need to worry. Best of luck to you! :)
