They will take your height and weight, feel your lower stomach for hernias and a few other test probably. Just remember it is to make sure you're alright, and healthy. That is the main concern. Well during phisicals the doctor will check your weight, height, heart rate and all that other stuff. It is possible he/she will check down at your penis so there's nothing wrong with that.

You may also need some vaccines and that's what the coughing part is for

yes that it is right that they are only doing that because the need to see if thing are okay. and one of the thing that they do are they put there hands down your pants or they will tell you to take your pants and your underwear down but you can say to your mum that if you do not whant her to see you with out your pants on then she will live you there with the docter. and the i have had the same thing and tha there is nothing to worrie about and i had to say the samething to my mum and that she said to me that it was okay and that she went out to the waiting room until she could come in. so that it is nothing to be afraid of.

Yeah, that's how my physicals are, It's nothing to worry about :D. I'm always nervous to.

Not for just a normal physical.
The military does that for their physicals I do believe.
They also do that for prostate exams, but I don't think most teen guys would need one of them.

yes, that's for a prostate exam. I don't see why they would do one of those one a young teen without reasoning. They usually don't do prostate exam until you are much older.

Well I think it's about 40 actually. Something like that. Not really sure. But if he has to check, he has to check, I'm just not seeing why they would do one on a teenager with out reasoning. If he/she has a reason it's a bit different. I'm sure everything will be fine, don't worry.

Basically a physical is when the doctor checks to make sure your healthy. First, he or a nurse will weigh you and measure your height.
Then your blood pressure is tested, your heart rate, and a check for hernias by feeling your abdomen. He will check your testicles to make sure that there aren't any lumps and they're not very uneven in size (some unevenness in size is ok, that's natural, but one shouldn't be tiny or swollen). They will also check your eyesight.

Everyone should get these physicals every year to make sure that you're healthy.

Other things may happen at your physical. They may check your immunization records, and if you're behind a little bit, they may ask your parent if they want to give you a shot to make sure that you're up-to-date.
They may take a urine sample or blood test, but this is usually if you go in for a special reason (not just a regular physical) or if you're on prescribed medication.
