Is this odd?

So I recently decided to post this in VTF based on some comments others have made recently.
In the past, up til I hit 8 yrs old or so, I'd get bathed/ washed in the tub cuz my personal hygiene skills were sub-par even though my sister got to shower on her own since 5. Nothing bad happened, and I was totally ok with it (no molestation or anything, don't worry) but I mentioned it to one of my Dutch friends once and they found it really odd. So my question is, should I be concerned about all this or were they just being hypocritical? After all nothing unpleasant/sexual (rlly hate how I had to post that bit :( ) occurred so..yeah. Just a question of mine.

And please don't insult said person and rail this thread. It's just a question.

I don't think it's too odd - I'm uncut and one time when I was about 8 or 9 years old I was out camping with my family and had a hard time keeping things clean down there because there was only a cold camp shower! So my mom (she's a nurse so she's pretty open about stuff like this) had to explain how I still needed to keep it clean under the foreskin even with a cold shower.

So not quite like your story but I guess it was for the same reason as you.

i dont know if its being hypocritical them doing that as much as i want to believe that the purpose of them doing what they did was for your own good and hygiene. maybe they were doing it with the hopes that ou would catch on and start to take better care of yourself.

I'm not sure what you mean. I used to take weekly baths till I started 7th grade, when I took showers at night for school. But I wasn't washed by my parents if that's what you mean. I did that on my own. Except maybe washing my hair. I don't remember when I started doing that. 6 or 7?

I guess if nothing sexual happened then it's all fine. I mean 8 is still a fairly young age, someone I know was in diapers till they were 9 because they still wet the bed. Everyone is different.

hey, I'm Dutch and I don't think it's odd. It's just the way things have gone for you. You should also keep in mind that here in the Netherlands people tolerate less then in other country's. experimenting is gross and weird here and anal is gay if a guy does it. As soon as people see someone naked here they call thr police for a madman against the law. In other countries you guys shower together. So don't worry about it.
