so me and my, i guess you can call him boyfriend, we meet like twice a month and do fun stuff and have awkward encounters but other than that only communicate over Skype, but we want to go a step further and uhm, i was wondering, how am i supposed to acquire condoms? because we're not planning on doing it without them and we kind of want to do it anyways (we both agreed we were ready and have been teasing eachother for too long haha)

since i'm only 14 (he's 15) it'll be awkward as hell when either of us attempts to buy them, i have an older brother and i'll shamelessly call him a slut but to dig trough his mess of a room to find a condom is too much (and too risky) of effort and his older brother is mentally retarded (literally, not an insult, the internet has changed the meaning of those words a tad) so not much luck there, either.

what should we do? should we just wait until it's fortunate? should either of us take the initiative and just be all like "fuck the system" and go there and buy condoms?

fun fact; i sell condoms. I work at my moms' random stuff store (mostly related to celebrating things, cards and gifts and stuff) and among those things is a variety of erotic articles. Then like, right in my face all day, are "fun condoms" which are basically (i hope) basic condoms with things printed on them. It's just that, of all the people it would be awkward to buy at, the store i work at, that my mother owns, buying it from my feminine parental entity while it is being recorded because my mother needs the records for when the cash messes up... and just taking (stealing) them would be plain wrong...

i am 13 and cant buy them where i am so its up to my bf and hes 16, but he has told me that he was able to buy condoms at walmart with no problems, there or at a drugstore. I would tell you to screw the system and just bite the bullet and buy them, its being responsible and if they cant accept that then shame on them. If you are afraid and have older friends that you trust, ask them to do it for you.

Hey, know what you mean about being embarrassed buying them from a store. I would suggest two other things that haven't been suggested yet - either use self-checkout at a store (that's what I did) or you can always order them online.

Clinics give them out for free! Save your money, as long as you're under 18 you'll get them for free. Also it's very easy to buy condoms in store. You might get a few looks but to be honest no one cares and practically everyone buys them.

well, i guess it costs money but prevention is the best medicine as they say (it would cost way more dealing with increased HIV or STI cases because people don't buy condoms i guess). I'm in New Zealand and you can see for yourself at http://www.loveyourcondom.co.nz/ - (hope it's OK for me to link but this site is safe and by legit organisations sponsored by the government and its not 18+). There might be similar initiatives in other countries. My school clinic gives out free condoms too.

yeah, the Albert Heijn and Jumbo do but i'd never seen any condoms in those stores at all :0

You can always go to a Planned Parent hood and go up to the desk and ask, or call ahaead and pre-order (I guess) and they can have them in a bag for you with no one looking at you.
You can try some gas stations which have them inside or in the bathrooms for like 50 to 75 cents, or try walgreens or cvs or walmart....its not that hard.

The only vending machine i've ever seen was the one on the ship from the Netherlands to England. I rarely go to public toilets, sure, but i don't think they're very common here.

Go to your local Health Department and you can get free (not the best, but still...) condoms. You can always buy condoms at whatever age, it's not illegal, wherever they are sold (Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, Publix even)
