So how does your family treat religion? Do they go to church every Sunday? Do they not care? Do they force you along?
Personally, my parents never cared. We've never gone to church since my lifetime, and we just don't usually discuss it. :P
Considering how little I think religion matters to me, I'm pretty glad. :P

My parents are religious and they'll pray every now and then, but they don't go to church. They know I'm an atheist and don't really care very much.

my parents arent overly religious people, they dont goto church that often, but i go by myself every sunday, but thats just my preference. i dont think i am religious as much as i would say that i am spiritual - if that makes any sense

My parents go to church every Sunday, some holy days, and all the major Catholic holidays. They know I'm atheist and don't bring me.

As a family we worship in church every Sunday, though we are more spiritual than religious. We are much more prone to follow the Bible than the church dogma. My father says, and we all agree, that preachers are too often stating their personal bias rather than proper interpretation of scripture. Also, I feel preachers are too often far too negative in their sermons. I want to feel lifted up when I leave worship, not beat up. Currently I get more out of the music and scripture readings than out of the sermons. We choose to express our spiritual nature in a religious setting. Our choice, my choice, I am not forced to go. I want to and I sit with my parents and grandparents. We often have really good discussions of the worship experience during Sunday dinner.

My family is very religious. My dad is actually a pastor of a church. We go every Sunday and to several other church related things during the week.

I'm atheist, but the rest of my family is catholic. They don't go to church, but they do pray occasionally and have a bunch of religious paraphernalia around the house. Although my mom tries to sometimes talk to me about God and whatnot, she usually lets me do my own thing.

I'm atheist and all of my family is catholic, although not super dedicated. They don't give a shit about me not giving a shit so we don't mutually give shits about each other's religions and live happily not giving shits.

Me and my family are all Christian. We go to church every week (almost), we pray and we celebrate religious events. I'm glad they educated me and my brother that way.

My family is pretty religious, they pray and go to church on Sundays and stuff. But if one of us kids doesn't feel like it, they don't make us.

Both my parents (but especialy my father) were raised strictly christian (Though not the same type christian), and later went through a 70's hippie phase, followed with an 80's realization fase, after which they became agnostic atheists.
So basicly they're atheist, they never taught me any beleif, and let me be pretty much free.
I remember having a bible for kids when I was younger and thinking it was pretty cool, and they didn't do anything, but when I was older I stopped beleiving myself.
tl;dr they're atheist.

My dad is an atheist, mom is Orthodox Christian. She doesn't give a hoot, but she doesn't let me put a pentagram around my cat's neck, but if it's a pink collar with a bell I can. It's my cat, not hers. I am atheist but I like messing with people by using all sorts of symbols.

My parents are Jewish. They used to be pretty strict about all the silly laws and stuff but we had a talk a while ago and now they're much more laid back - I don't think my dad likes it though. He still goes to shul on holidays and eats kosher and whatnot.
My parents just wanted to raise some nice Jewish kids but it's funny because I'm pretty sure 3 out of 4 of us are atheists :P

This is difficult to explain for my family because my parents are dumb. Everyone in my family is super religious. Like, almost all of my male cousins are preachers. We're all Baptists. So, religion is a BIG deal in our family. That being said, my Dad has never had me in church, and he doesn't go. As far as I know, he hasn't since I've been around. But, I live with my grandparents half of the time, and they don't miss a service, Sundays or Wednesdays, and they've had me go with them since I was in first grade. They don't force me alone, though, I go because I've always loved being there, but I actually don't know what they would do if I had ever refused to go.

My family and I are lapsed Catholics. We're all baptized and confirmed but we're basically all agnostics, even though there's some religious stuff at my mom's place and we might attend Church for weddings or burials (rarely Christmas, never Easter). We do it only because it's rote and routine, not out of any real belief. Cultural Catholics I guess one might call us.

Religion never was a topic with anyone from my family. I'm Catholic like everyone in my Dad's family (my grandparents wanted me to be baptized when I wad a baby)but we never go to church or pray or anything. My maternal Grandma who has Haitian roots belives in vodun/voodoo and I am staring to practice it now, too as I think it's really interesting.
My Dad doesn't really care what I believe in, so I can basically decide on my own.

My mom was raised Catholic and my dad was raised Jehovah's Witness, but they're both currently Pentacostal. It's a denomination of Christianity that believes in abstaining from alcohol, sex before marriage, smoking, wearing makeup and jewelry, women wearing pants (well, the church they attend doesn't believe in women wearing pants because they're UPC, which is a stricter sect of the religion), etc. Of course my parents don't follow the rules all the time, but they make an effort to.
I personally think it's a load of bullshit, and I don't believe in any of it, but my parents make me go to church on most Sundays and some Wednesdays.

My dad is a fierce atheist and dislikes the topic of religion - so naturally, it's rarely discussed (let alone practiced) in our household.

My brothers and I were baptized as Catholics, but that is the only religious thing my family has ever done. Luckily no one in my family cares for religion at all lol

Judaism is incredibly important to my family as a culture and a heritage; not as a spiritual belief. My parents made sure I was raised Jewish through practice, prayers, classes, etc. but they never asked me to believe in any type of God, as neither of them do.

My family is somewhat religious, but we don't really go to church except for important events like marriages. My maternal grandparents are pretty religious, though they respect other people's beliefs.
We're Catholic like the majority of French people. France has a long-standing tradition of secularism, so we tend to be less religious than Catholics in places such as the US, Italy, and Poland.

My parents did something which I respect so much. They didn't tell me if there was a god or not. Whether I should follow a religion or I shouldn't. They let me look at the world and make my mind up and I will always love them for that. When I asked about God they gave a mixed view of theism and atheism. I came to the conclusion that I don't believe in any god. This is something which I think should be done to every person. Let them make their own mind up and not force an organised religion on to them.
