How do you feel about someone being awkward/weird/shy

I am kind of awkward and shy especially around girls. I feel ashamed to say that but im weird in general so its not that bad. I sometimes say things that might be weird, talk very generally (not going into detail or asking vague questions or repeating questions), or remove myself from conversation and listen carefully to what people have to say. I can crack a good improv joke every now and then. I am more that willing to be adventurous by trying new things but conversation is like awkward and strange for me. My question is how do you/would you feel when you are around someone like me. Does it make you feel uncomfortable/annoyed or like funny/interesting. I will really appreciate the advice my confidence hasnt been great.

I'm kind of like that myself. I listen and think before I open my mouth to say something. But a lot of people tell me that they love me and my personality, because I'm always that person that's there to listen to their problems and offer advice and guidance.

I personally think it's a little awkward when you're trying to talk to someone quiet and shy, but they just give really quick and curt replies but once you get them to open up and start talking, you don't feel any different talking to them. Quiet/shy people are interesting, it seems like they've got a lot of opinions and things to talk about, they just don't feel like sharing; you have to pull it out of them and get them talking.

Many girls like weirdos and dorks. If you are similar to the girl then you will attract her from the start. I like when I can quote movies and my girlfriend can relate to it. It is fun when we can be total dorks and she can be herself with me. Some girls appreciate an honest guy.
