Well it's not my first date EVER, but it's my first date that I actually get to know the person instead of already knowing them extremely well.
Anyways, me and her are both kind of awkward people and I want tips to make the date at Outback Steakhouse tomorrow night NOT awkward. :whoops:

Find conversation starters, usually those starters will get you into other topics and boom, not awkward. Also be sure to pay attention and let her talk. Things will be easier than you think!

wear a shirt that says "I bang on the first date" and make sure its the first thing she notices about you. she will respect your sense of humor and boldness

even if you don't know her all that well, there's gotta be some things you know about her. is she on the track team? does she like to dance? etc etc. ask her about those things. most likely she'll ask you back a few things about yourself and you can get a conversation started. hell, if you want to get goofy, start a little 20 questions game where you ask each other your favorite pasttimes, foods, color, etc. c: no other way to learn about a person unless you ask, right?
make sure you compliment how she looks, even if she isn't all gussied up, trust me, girls love hearing it! talk about the food, whether it's good or bad and what your favorite food item is or something. ask her about her day and get involved with the things that happen to her. girls love talking with a guy that genuinely cares about their interests and lives. make sure you show up clean and neat, as that will make you more attractive and probably boost your confidence as well. remember manners and above all, have fun! that's what dates are supposed to be about. don't stress about it too much. Ask her questions that require thoughtful replies. Make her feel comfortable and get her to open up to you. Do not compare her to other girls and do not talk about past relationships.

Don't ever do that-you don't want to be one of those guys who tries to impress someone with a slogan t-shirt
