Your life is very much guided by the concept of Egoism: You work primarily to promote your own interests. “I swear by my life, and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.” “I am not primarily an advocate of capitalism, but of egoism; and I am not primarily an advocate of egoism, but of reason. Huh, I never wouldve taken you for an objectivist.
I wouldn't call myself an objectivist, but the philosophy does align with my views on so many fronts to the point where I can't really fault people calling me one. I might not show it nowadays, but when I was new on this site I used to interact in more threads and it was more clear where I fell philosophically.
I should get in more threads these days, even though I know most, if not all, of my posts will get ignored. Hell, you and Vlerchan are basically the only people capable of having a rational discussion in this subforum, and we don't disagree on much of significance.

Why would hedonism seem "Unhealthily high"?
Because fuck your pleasure, apparently :P
Imo hedonism is ok if it's balanced with other things. I took this quiz with a "I do not care for philosophy" attitude in mind (I'm serious, that was the answer to my tiebreaker question) so
I tend to dislike spending time worrying about what life is about
I already waste too much time worrying about what I'm going to do with it. I don't even like going that deep.
I assure you I can be a "deep" person if I need to be, but that usually just gets me depressed, so I avoid that like the plague. What's the point of being "deep" if it makes you want to jump off a cliff?
Pragmatic thinking doesn't have to contradict pleasure. Being "deep" to make yourself look smarter if it is detrimental to you is kind of like smoking to look cool- it'll fucking kill you, and at what cost?
I may seem like an airhead, but at least I have my reasons.

Well I mean, I understand the point of it, humans are naturally curious, and cerebral.
And if you can handle all the speculation, power to ya- I'm bipolar, I have anxiety, I have to design my life around coping with life throws at me. :P

Objective, is the key word missing here.
Nihilists believe that life and morality (etc.) are objectivily meaningless, but that doesn't stop a Nihilist in placing his own values on life and morality (etc.), which is why I also scored so highly in existentialism, too.

delayed gratification (along with selflessness and humility) are important aspects of maturity. hedonism in excess makes contentment impossible to find.

heh. well from what I've read so far, he seemed like a lolbertarian in some areas but stopped well before he got into loony Randland. he recognized most of the same need for limitations on liberty that I do. so far, 3.9/5 very promising.
I think utilitarianism is to some extent incompatible with libertarianism because the former tends to shift focus away from the individual and toward "the greater good." most lolbertarians just blink confusedly when they hear "the greater good," they probably think it means "the GDP or something."

I'd consider him a Libertarian.
He held one or two left-y economic positions, and supported limited intervention in the economy (eg: he supported taxes on drugs in the name of utilitarianism), but he was still pretty aligned with the classical liberal school of thought. His positions on social issues would be typical of modern liberals.

I was near close by a tie to Existentialism
I found this neat little quiz, and it isn't perfect, but it's still pretty good.

As you can see I tied for hedonism and existentialism, with utilitarianism a very close third. I'd say it's pretty accurate.
This explains so very much. No wonder we argue. We're polar opposites!
