This girl who I think I like (I'll explain) just seems to flip-flops between two personalities. Some times she's just mad at me, and anything I say ( we are both in a close group of friends) she tells me to shut up. Sometimes she's really cool and I really enjoy hanging out with her and that's when I think I like her. She seems to arbitrarily change whether in a month in just one night and she is very vocal about the people she likes. I just don't know.

I guess she is a bit moody, you know. There are such kinds of people. :)
If you like her, then you should accept that she'll have mood swings from time to time.
If you don't think you could handle that, maybe you're better off as friends.

You're definitely better off as friends. I'm assuming she acts more agressively towards you when she's with other people and more enjoyingly when she's alone with you, right? You might just want to keep her as a friend, it doesn't mean she's a bad person, we all have our temper, but it might be a bit difficult to handle it in a relationship.
