I am pretty skinny and my muscles in my arms are not strong at all. I want to impress people and just see what that is like, but how can I gain muscle? Every time I start trying to gain muscle I end up quitting in about a week. The most I have stuck to a routine was about a month, and that month contained unplanned breaks which took away from the routine. I don't know how to stick with a schedule. I am 14 years old and going into high school. I don't want to be "that one kid." I take in a decent amount of calories daily I think. I will try increasing that number as well.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

-ICF 5x5 (or Starting Strength, but I prefer ICF) + Food
-Count calories and make sure you're really eating a lot. I'm eating 3500+ calories right now because I'm trying to go up a weight class.
-Look up progressive overload, keep adding weight to the bar
-If you really are having trouble gaining weight try GOMAD (gallon of milk a day, look it up)

Going into a workout routine is more often a mental challenge than physical, because anyone could try and lift weights for a week or even a month. But setting goals - 6months, a year, two years. that's where your mentality kicks in. it's not always going to be perfect, like how you mentioned getting distracted from your routine, but trying to get back into it even after the distraction is what makes the difference. Set a long term goal, and reach out to it. besides, you're only 14.just take it easy :P
