(i didn't break it physically) so.. i was using Ubuntu for a time being and decided to re-install windows 7, to then dual boot windows and Ubuntu. well. i had a grand time doing that. it turns out that i wasn't able to install windows because my hard drive had to be formatted to a NTFS. which i couldn't do. (who knows why) so i tried to factory reset my laptop, which also didn't work. not to keep going on and on, but right now my laptop is in a state that, it seems to have no operating system on it. and, the BOOTMGR is gone. which means i cant boot windows or Ubuntu. annndd i don't have my recovery disks... weeooo (i feel pretty damn stupid right now lol)
right now I'm trying to figure out how to restore my computer.. with Ubuntu or windows lol. if any of you tech junkies out there have any idea whats up, feel free to contribute.

Ouch...
You can purchase recovery disks online; the computer manufacturer probably sells it, even somewhere like eBay might...

You get a windows or ubuntu install disk, boot into the install disk, format the hard drive, and install. If you want to dual boot, partition the hard drive and install the other.

update: no i will not be buying anything lol.
i was in the process of making a system recovery bootable usb stick... but my dad deleted the Recovery folder on his computer *facepalm*
I am now creating a bootable windows 7 USB stick to see if that helps at all.
and before this whole incident happened, i tried to format the harddrive to install windows, and it wouldnt allow me to do so. lool

Yah, i managed to reinstall Ubuntu again. now im back to square one. Hypers for some reason its not allowing me to format the hard drive (still) ill go to boot windows through a USB drive , and it says it cant be installed on partitian 1 because its not formatted as a NTFS.. at the same time it wont allow me to format it. lol

Currently yes. my plan was to teach myself "code" and all that neat stuff. but seeing as how I don't think ill ever use it. and windows seems easier to use, and easier to access things. I'm trying to switch back. ill probably end up dual booting in the grand scheme of things.
