I don't know if this is the right place but..
On a cut, is it better to put alcohol or hydrogen peroxide?
I've always used hydrogen peroxide on my cuts, but I was told it damaged the skin so I wondered what do you guys use to disinfect a cut

Neither. Both of them do more harm than good. They kill the new skin cells that are growing to heal the cut, making it take longer to heal, and increasing scaring. You're better off washing the area with water, then covering the cut until it heals. If you want to put something on it, try petroleum jelly. It keeps the cut moist, which makes it heal faster and scar less.

Yeah, I'd say stay away from either option. Neosporin or something like that, with bandaid and you're good to go. Just let it air out at night, and reapply in the morning.

Still clean it with soap and water. That's a must. :)

i don't know if you are familiar with this medicine or would be able to find it but calendula officinalis or calendula ointment works wonders on cuts. Of course you could always clean it with water and put on a band-aid

I don't disinfect cuts. I just leave them to do I what they want. I've never got infected before.
But don't to what I do, use some Salavon it another product designed to clean cuts.
